East Kaweah GSA seeks Advisory Members Posted on April 7, 2017 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr Tulare, Calif., (April 7, 2017) – If you farm or live in the East Kaweah sub-basin and pump groundwater, you may wish to apply to serve on the newly formed stakeholder advisory body. The East Kaweah Groundwater Sustainability Agency Joint Powers Authority formed pursuant to the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act. The Agency is seeking applicants to its Advisory Committee. These individuals will provide ideas and input into best managing groundwater in parts of the Kaweah Sub-basin. The Advisory Committee will be involved in providing ideas and direction as the agency works to develop and implement a plan to reach groundwater sustainability. We are seeking input from interested individuals in areas of rural communities, environment, tribal, legal, engineering, agriculture, individual homeowners using groundwater. The Advisory Committee will be an 11-member committee and individuals must commit to a 2-year term given the challenges of an East Kaweah GSA groundwater plan. Applications can be picked up the Lindmore Irrigation District office at 315 Lindmore Ave, Lindsay CA 93247 or on the EKGSA website at www.ekgsa.org.
